One thing to note about the AOLTV strategy and the alliance with Hughes is that it is satellite based connectivity. One of the strategic justifications for the deal is that satellite can penetrate markets that currently have no "broadband" options -- essentially it kills any issues with the "last mile."

So for all those rural dish subscribers, this could be their ticket to ride. Another bonus is the marketing power of AOL, as well as brand recognition.
