Gary, as for CSCO IP/telephony, it was clearly stated on cc two quarters ago that it will take two years for CSCO to removed circuit based telephony!!!!
With the JNPR IPO, and LU buying Nexabit you have to wonder why everyone
else is talking IP cores.


So, why CSCO spend so much money recently buying ATM companies.

Great majority of big telcos are relaying and buying ATM for backbones.
As for NN, 70+% sales is ATM and IP over ATM as well as LMDS over ATM.
And I have mentioned TDM as a example of legacy gear not a subject to discussion.
