Microsoft is a company of the past, now, and future. Of the existing big companies, Microsoft may gain more than anyone else, because of the Internet. Every where you look, Portal, Media, Content, Entertainment, and Technology, Microsoft is either a leader or a second place player. Microsoft may not dominate the Internet as it has dominated the PC world. It will be the biggest player in the Internet age, unless the justice department can break it up, which I think is a bad idea. Microsoft needs to be restrained for anti-competition acts, but not broken up. The Internet needs someone to push for new standards and technology. There is no one that can do it better than Microsoft and Bill Gates.
For both the evil and benefit Microsoft brings, I vote to keep it as it is.
