No OEM WILL in their right mind to pay the same or higher price for K7 Vs. PIII's same clock speed.

1. Intel Brand still stand. Call it K7/Athlon brand dilution!

2. Offset concern over the factors associated with the brand new K7 platform, which may not be as reliable or cost effective vs. PIII platform.

The fact of life is that Intel PIII is still the Mercedes of MPU and K7, at most, an Acura.
