>>>an exchange that most seminar attendees will "get" begins here:<<<

I'm not quite sure why you choose to post a reference to my recent post as some sort of testimonial for you, given your description of my post as being facetious. You've got to be extremely hard up for a plug.

Presumably, Doug, you disclose to your seminar attendees this post:

Message 8873887

in which you clearly identify the top TO THE DAY in the market in as far as internet stocks, market bellweather GE, and other important stocks such as WMT are concerned, in a manner which you clearly did not expect.

While many at the MDA thread were urging caution at the time, you earned the SI BOZO technician of the year award, being maniacally bullish, and a world wide horse's ass to boot, while the nutz stocks, appropriately enough, made their mania - bubble top:

decisionpoint.com

It would appear that your arrogant post was based at least in part on one of your favorite indicators, the 13 day RSI of the S&P 500, which broke above a resistance line from 11/23/98 to 3/18/98. The fact that you bought into this breakout to the extent of publicly embarrassing yourself is truly humorous.

What is even more humorous is that you heavily rely on an indicator which is canned into virtually every stock market charting software in the world.

Presumably, you disclose to your attendees the fact that following a common indicator will give less than common results, due to the number of people using the very same indicator. You can only draw so many lines on this kind of chart, and your example above proves that whatever you draw doesn't mean much.

Furthermore, you obviously must disclose to your attendees the fact that while they are all looking at 13 day RSI, you could be looking at 11 day RSI which might get you in or out a day earlier. Not that an upstanding citizen such as yourself would ever actually do that.

Do not ever try to use my name or posts in conjunction with impliedly, directly or inferentially endorsing or promoting your "seminars" or any of your methods. All rights are reserved as to this and any other violations of my rights.
