ELSI token system is not a way around the Patent. That Patent covers the system and method whereby digital data products are purchased by choosing from a list of products (from a catalog) that has a price (price code) for each item. The payment is made after a request for reproduction (purchase by download, etc) is made. HOW the payment is made does not matter. In starting this thread, I used the credit card example. It is a very clear wide-scale example. After the request for reproduction is made, the digital product becomes available (for download) for reproduction at the point of sale. The point of sale could be: in your computer; at the record store, their digital DC recorder, etc. ELSI could become the accounting dept of GIFT! A meaningful license to ELSI would be super. ELSI is just forming so it will take a while. Good purchase Robert. Mel
