You state that you it is easy to pick up $1000 per day with RT. What profile are you using, and what time frames? I have not observed the profiles that come with the system to behave that well, with confusion between trending and trading range patterns, and the use of (IMHO) less-than-robust indicators like random walk and gap breakout (Breakout is often over when you get the signal!). Also, I find the lack of money management optimization to be a critical omission for system optimization... As just a scan tool to find trend line breakouts and similar patterns, OT RT could be a great tool. But I find that the ARM does not give signals just from these events. I'm still playing with the program, attempting to get it to a useful state, so feedback would be appreciated. I also use Tradestation Prosuite, with my own programs. These are my main real time trading tools. If the scanning capability of OT could be combined with the programming and money management optimization capability of Prosuite, we'd have a great tool!
