"...I signed up for the free PC, but was never accepted. Has anyone got one yet?"

To answer your question, yes. I received my free-pc last week and attempted to set up on Tuesday of this week. As of this a.m. I have still been unable to activate it! I get an error message which states if the problem persists to contact tech support. Unfortunately, for me anyway, their hours are limited to the the "normal" working days on the West Coast (I'm East Coast) and is not an 800 number. I left a message for a call back on Tuesday, but have not received one. I have also sent 4 Emails...no response.

At this point, I am having serious doubts as to the value of this "deal." I have used NetZero and found that experience to be annoying but tolerable (Just for clarification, I also subscribe to AOL and MSN). From what I have seen so far of the PC-Free deal, it may be less tolerable. I would be very interested in hearing from others who may have signed up to participate in this program.
