The Tennessee / Alabama State Line fireworks, is on the state line between Tennessee and Alabama, in South Pittsburgh, TN. From I-24 you go to the S. Pittsburgh exit, and turn South (There are a lot of retail stores right there at the exit). Go through South Pittsburgh, and continue about 5 miles (as I recall... it may be shorter) from I-24 to the AL/TN state line. The big place on the Left is the place I am talking about.

As for the fireworks... they have two different sides to the house. There is a retail side, where you can see just about everything that is for sale, only at the retail prices. (They are still a lot cheaper than anywhere else along the highways in TN... like Crazy Ed's and all of those places).

But, you walk in and say "I want to buy wholesale!" and they will escort you over to the wholesale side. Then you show them a copy of your business license and/or drivers license and then you get to walk around the warehouse with a pull cart, getting cases of you favorite fireworks. They can provide you with a typed up list of the prices, so you will know how much you are spending while filling up the cart.

I especially like the larger displays where you light it once, and sit back and watch for 5 minutes. They have a bunch of them, but some of my favorites are The Battle of the North & South, 100 Shot Saturn Missile Battery and the large Comets. Get at least a case of the first two, and 6 cases of the Comets. They are really cool. Now, remember, you're paying about $4 a piece for these things, that sell for $25 apiece out on the roadside stands. It's incredible. They have some new multishot tubes that are about 12" in diameter, and about 3 feet tall. Those are pretty good also, but they are not as cost effective as getting a bunch of the largest size single shot floral displays, big boomers, and shells. But, they are easier to light, and there is less carnage to clean up afterwards.

A couple of years ago, we had 9 trash bags of empty tubes and stuff, to haul in from the lakehouse to the trash man. :-)

Are you thinking about stopping by the fireworks place on the way to see your youngest? Maybe we could meet up there - I know a place that has a Hawaiian Ice machine, and they make the BEST Snowcones!

Jack

Here's a map link: maps.yahoo.com
This place is just under the words "Blue Hole", unless, that is where they "used" to be.

And remember... No SMOKING! There are 10 warehouses in 10 bunkers.
You don't even want to joke about sparks....
