Gold//Apparently Aron (Goldman Sachs) has
beeen buying 270 August calls which expire
the friday after the auction. A la 70s, perhaps
Aron will hold the market down through next
Friday, then jump the bid price at the auction
and win 100% of the sale (this happened a
couple of times in the 70s) - other buyers
would be shut out and would have to pay up
immediately, forcing the market higher and
shorts to begin covering.
