Official numbers have to be from platforms where all elements are commercially available, however there is nothing to stop them from publishing estimates. Alpha did this well before the 21264 ever shipped. It remains a mystery why AMD won't disclose the details. With the relative numbers out there, how can the performance look any better? Yet if details were revealed they might not look so good. This makes it look like AMD is hiding something.
