TP, you and I agree that the borrow into oblivion is what is crushing us. But if you will check your history, the CONGRESS is the entity which writes the checks, borrows the money, etc. And you are correct that the time-frames you listed are the correct ones. Where you err is ascribing the debt to Reagan/Bush and not to the DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS of those 12 years (which is included in the past FORTY YEARS of Democratic control). You also err in not giving the CREDIT for the turnaround to The REPUBLICAN CONGRESS which has sat during the Clinton administration. Can you say, "Contract with America?" Other than those "fine points", we agree.
