Gottfried,

Do you or other longer term AMAT followers than I, know if these long term growth estimates factor in the cyclical nature of the business? I mean if long term means 3 years, e.g., you don't run into the next down cycle, hopefully. Or, are they looking out 5 or so years, in which case you would expect another downturn. Or, heaven forbid, maybe they assume someday that the cyclicality somehow gets smoothed over? Interesting comment from Wilf Corrigan, LSI CEO and Chairman at their stockholders meeting this year in response to a question: question was 'will the semiconductor industry leaders act smarter next time and not go into over-production mode when things are looking the best.' Wilf: "Of course not."

Appreciate your opinion.

Tony
