I'm a bit taken aback by the lack of comment/concern regarding the IEEE letter. The IEEE is a very credible group, and their letter was disturbing, to say the least, especially the paragraph 4.1 that Christine reproduced. (Very similar to Ed Yourdon's "death by a thousand cuts" message.) Maybe it's just old hat to a thread of doombrooders? <g>
