I bought PLPT the first time a year and a half ago. It didn't take long to figure out the stock was a roller and easily predictable. I maintained a core holding and began building a trading position in it about march of 1998. I would sell those shares and buy them back based on some TA signals each time increasing the number of shares I owned but not using any more of my cash.

This makes sense to do and I do it with even the largest priced companies I own.

I became bothered by the SEC filing several months ago that showed a declining cash balance and also included the statement that the company "may require additional funding" and then went on to state that there were no guarantees that additional funding could be found.

A quick calculation told me that the company would not survive to see the year 2000 IMO. I sold all I had the first part of this past year and have not looked back. I would have come out price wise much better with the $6.60 but I still ended up with a many X's fold profit so I'm not complaining.

If I were still a stock holder and things were as they are now I think I would take the new UIS shares and let them ride or do more of the same. Anyway you look at it, PLPT share holders are in a hell of a lot better shape now then they otherwise would have been. If PLPT truly has value as a product then that value will be reflected in a higher price in the UIS shares as time goes by.

IMO
