Frank - Thank you for that link to Denver Techie's post. I certainly did not realize its significance when it was posted. The question on my mind is whether there is a large market out there for NGDLC for Lucent, Nortel, Alcatel, Siemans and others? How large is the market for NGDLC and who are the players. It is my impression, from Denver Techie's posts and what I have read, that an upgrade to NGDLC is necessary for many carriers to deploy high speed broadband access. If I am correct in that assumption, it would seem this market is very large indeed. I do recall that, in Bell Atlantic's billion dollar order from Nortel, about $600 million was for NGDLC and the remainder for high speed broadband access. Can we look forward to other large orders like this from other carriers? If the SBC/Ameritech merger is approved, is it likely they will have a big order for NGDLC to upgrade their network? What about Europe? Will they have to upgrade in a big way? I realize these are a lot of questions but, I must confess, until I read that article about one week ago, these questions had not occured to me.

Regards, Ken
