I understand that any MM dislikes to sell below their ask.

However what appears a little bit strange to me is why they never raised their bid on Friday above $ 0.41 when my order was limited at $ 0.45 at a quantity of 20k shares.

They could have easily decreased the gap between their ask of $ 0.53 and their bid which was 22.6% and scaring any potential investor away.

Who wants to buy at $ 0.53 facing an immediate potential loss of $ 0.12 or 22.6% to the bid of $ 0.41???

Just raising the bid to my limit price of $ 0.45 would have made the picture less dramatic and more feasible for potential investors. This could have brought the MMs more sales and profits.

So, why did they not increase their bid????

What's your take on this strategy?
