Michael, please excuse me for saying so, but you are hopeless.
You feel in a confrontational mood, come on the thread, and ask your "challenging questions," and it just does not occur to you that other people may just not have the time to drop everything to answer your questions. Maybe they have dinner to prepare, or there are some good books they'd rather read, or whatever...
And even if they did have the time, the odds are that they suspect you are not asking the questions in good faith.
When you call me "sanctimonious," for example, I am confirmed in that suspicion.
As for the law in Washington state, I am not familiar with it, why or when it was adopted, and why you have not amended it. But I think I can say that it would never had been adopted if cross-burning and violence had not been linked historically. Real violence -- castrations, lynchings, burnings-alive, you name it. Tends to make people edgy. |
