I requested my certs for the gold shares in the following email:

I would like to proceed with having the Medinah Gold certificates delivered to my home. I understand they are 144 restricted and the sooner they are actually listed to me the sooner the resriction period would be concluded. I'm referring to just the dividend shares for Medinah Gold. Your assistance is appreciated. Thanks.


And received the following response:


I have requested physical certificate delivery to your address of record. You should receive the certificate in about four weeks. If, for some reason you do not receive the certificate within this time frame, please contact me, and I will trace the delivery.


I then went on vacation expecting the certs shortly upon returning. Instead, I had received the following email:


I regret to inform you that I cannot deliver a physical certificate representing the restricted Medinah Gold shares. I have contacted several individuals with this request and every response is the same: The shares are restricted and therefore a physical certificate cannot be delivered. This has been the case in the past, but I wanted to make every effort to be sure that the same applied with the Medinah Gold shares.

how's that compare with others' adventures. this is not a margin account.
