Well you only compare specInt and not specFP scores.

Currently 21264 bests the HP by 15% in Fp while HP wins by 10% in specInt.

Although you seem to value the Int score more than FP (I wonder why???).

However Compaqs start shipping 750Mhz 21264's next month so I guess they will be top dog for a few days.

It does seem to me that an 800Mhz K7 should be close when fully equipped with full speed cache and faster memory bus in the slotB configuration. Allegedly there are also some new instructions in the K7 - don't know at all if these will help it out either.

We'll see towards the end of the year.
