Realist, I think we might agree on more things than you realize. It's just that we see certain issues from a different perspective. Now, that the childish bickering is out of the way, I can tell you that there are two things that I am very concerned about in our country. #1, the well-being of our children and #2, the violence, which seems to be constantly increasing.I would imagine that you are concerned about these things as well.I would like to see people helping those who are less fortunate in their own communities, then they wouldn't need to turn to the government for help. Unfortunately, we are not living in a perfect world. And the thought that any child should go hungry in the USA really bothers me. We all have our own opinions of what can be done to help. As for the violence, I am not anti-guns, but I don't see any reason why an honest person would not agree to a back-ground check and/or cooling off period. I have a concealed weapons permit, and I had no objection to the background check, required course, that included, legal issues for the use of deadly force, self-defense precautions and basic firearm safety. I have been to some gun-shows and seen people browsing that I wouldn't want to be anywhere near, if they had a gun. I think the gun issue can be explained in one word, "Responsibility". And one more thing, I feel that we all need God in our lives. And again we may not all agree on who God is,but I think it is very important to be in touch with whomever your God is.
