I'm home! Happy to be so. Only because the insurance company refused to let me stay longer - the doctors wanted 4 days. In fact it took 3 doctors, one spending 45 minutes on the phone to convince the insurance to let me stay over night. This is Blue Cross HMO people. If you have this insurance don't expect them to care one iota about your welfare. If three Neurosurgeons pleading a case in earnest and even telling the insurance that they coudn't for medical reasons let the patient go because it would be detrimental to the health of the patient ... can't get the insurance to agree without threatening (which one doctor told me it came down to); what would happen if the doctors weren't so dedicated and insistent? If I had gone home last night... I can't even imagine. Anyway. I'm home and much better :-) No surgery needed. I have a badly damaged nerve that is being a poop and wanting special attention. They have changed the medication, which is much better and have a Tens unit taped to my butt (might as well be honest). My butt is buzzin' as I type. This is meant to confuse the nerve into thinking other things than pain are going on... No kidding. It's like ohh,oh whooo...oh, my that tingles... No comments anyone! laugh Blue Cross HMO - Cancel it if you have it.
