Oh, sorry, it was when I was a professor at Urbana-Champaign and with my graduate students would go off to conferences to deliver papers, and share meals at a Greek restaurant (that particular scene only happened once in Chicago). Most of these students were men, and were impressed and jealous that the woman picked me out to tease instead of their handsome selves. My girl student never expressed an opinion either way. Besides, it wasn't the whole breast. I ask you, what's a man to do? Run screaming out shrieking "Eek! Eek!" Hold up my hand! Saying "no way your tits will touch my lips! A guest has duties of courtesy as important as the hostess. Maybe you ought to get out more. Academia is a very raunchy place. Nightclubs are even worse. The president of a Korean university took me out to the most select Gisang house. The mama-san chose me to help her introduce a new apprentice to the craft. The girl wasn't eager enough, so Mama-san took me over by herself. She told me I was much more fun and not nearly as fat as Tip O'Neill, her date the previous week. I always thought the important think was not to have sex or fall in love with your students. You may be surprised to know that many women and some boys are deeply offended when a teacher denies their advances. I am by no means sexually attractive or excessively friendly and intrusive. I have been embarrassed more than once by student sexual aggressiveness aimed at me. Adults cannot be adults without breaching barriers or status and power. I can't imagine that anyone who knew me as well as those students did was shocked, surprised, offended, or in anyway insulted by my actions. I thought it was a lot of fun. |
