Dany, I have to disagree with Carolyn. I don't think that you are in the majority. The majority of the American workforce does not have High speed access to the net readily available to them at work for personal use.
With DSL, your net access piggybacks on your existing phone line, so you can answer the phone and be on the net at the same time on one line. I didn't use the net nearly as much until I got DSL for all the reasons HeatherN stated. It's like heroin....if you have it at home and you have tasted it, then you will use it. :-) brk
