I can appreciate that the breakneck speeds can be addictive. But I am laboring the point that I get my fill of the Net at the office. No matter how fast it is, I won't use it more at home. Case in point, I'm not going to buy a HD TV and sit down to watch more of that brainsucker just because it's so much better. My nights and weekends are full of "stuff" and I won't let the NET or TV take up more than what I give them now (TV gets a whopping 1 hr a week for..... Ally McBeal.... I know I know, get off my case ;-)). I don't get cable for that same reason. I don't watch TV, so why pay for something I don't use?

So, does anyone have an idea of the profile for the typical pipeline home subscriber? BTW, I still maintain that $40/month is a lot of money. Maybe someone can set me straight here. Inregards to DSL, what are the total costs? Is it the phone line + DSL + ISP?
