Hi Roger,

Regarding a need to 'have some cash on hand just in case', the Federal Reserve announced last August that they would increase the currency available through their banking correspondents from $150B at that time to $200B by 12/99. That $50B is the equivalent of $500 for every household in the US. The banks have all been alerted to increase cash on hand in late December. I believe the possibility of a bank panic is just about nil.

On another note, and some government official would be wanting to know what our plans are to keep operating after the meteor hits and all of mankind has been wiped out. This in essence is what spawned the DARPAnet and makes our present exchange of ideas possible here on the Web. Or was that nuclear armageddon? I keep getting confused.

Speaking of confused, does anyone hear feel as I do that our avian correspondent has confused this high technology, company specific thread with "the Big Kahuna" thread? Just wondering....

Ciao, Ry
