Not much revenue needs to be raised unless you have a power-hungry centralized government that parasitically feeds off its people and returns goods and services at an inflated price that could be more efficiently and more effectively produced by private means.

Much less revenue needs to be confiscated if the government could not create regulations which do an end run around the constraints they would otherwise exist within, or if they were kept out of the social engineering business and concentrated instead on their duties as outlined in the Constitution.

Of course that would mean no more Social Security, MediCade, MediCare, Public Education, and all other government sponsored give-away programs. It would eliminate all of the social-engineering projects foisted upon American citizens back to Woodrow Wilson. And get rid of the government shellgames that many Americans think is business-as-usual in Washington.
