>>INTC testing PC133<<

i would be shocked if intel had not done extensive and detailed testing of pc133.
of course intel tested sldram and ddrdram. intel obviously reached the same conclusion as sony and ibm.
imo opinion intel said it all when they committed to rambus and said they will not support pc133. revoking via's license yesterday is frosting on the rambus cake.
to help keep things in perspective remember this...3 weeks ago they said ibm would not use rambus...ibm immediately stated that not only were they going to use rambus but they are going to produce it.
the ceo of sony said 2 months ago that high speed sl and ddr are unstable and sony will only use rambus and sony is producing rambus with toshiba.

intel, ibm, sony and toshiba have enormous testing facilities and they are all four committed to rambus. that is very heart-warming to me.

i see pc133 as competition to sdram 100 not to rambus. if pc133 makes it at all it will be short-lived. rambus will be in full production everywhere by the end of this year. next year with the release by intel of the rambus laptop chipset and timna, the rambus low-end chipset, rambus owns the market imo.
