He declined to say how much the company is investing in Twente. Meanwhile, Mr. Barrett defused rumors that Intel may step up ties with Dutch wafer-stepper company ASM Lithography NV. Wafer-stepper technology is a key component in the manufacture of semiconductors. Barrett noted that Intel already is working with ASML in developing extreme ultraviolet lithography, as part of the Extreme Ultraviolet Limited Liability Co. program, or the EVV-LLC.
