Hi All; A couple display articles from EE-Times last week:

A lot of companies are working on big screens:

Canon, Toshiba team to pit new display against plasma
Canon has demonstrated a 10-inch, full-color SED prototype with a 240- x 240-pixel format. According to Canon, brightness is 690 nits, contrast ratio is 1,000:1 and efficiency is 5.3 lumens per watt. Current PDPs deliver about 500 nits, 500:1 contrast and 1.2 lumens/W.

Another microdisplay hits the market at $800, this with 800x600 resolution:

Heads-up display shows way to wearable LCD
Korea's Daeyang E&C will show off an SVGA resolution display headset at the PC Expo conference here this week that sets the stage for a competitive wearable-monitor market that will start shaping up next year. It's based on a reflective liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) microdisplay, a technology that is poised to challenge the polysilicon LCD, which has had the market to itself.
