levy, You are a person of your word, sure enough I have a PM asking why I'm not on the GNET long list. I was holding out for #7777, since the list will be cut off at 100, that leaves me out.
Since I won't get #7777, I'll be an unlisted long but as you will see, a long time GNET team member.

I do not work for GNET but this is what I've done for our team, (all of this is in print and many members of Techride posted with me then, so this is easy to check out).

1) First internet investor to come out and state on AOL's busiest PF board, who GNET was, why they were going to the top, and that I'd checked them out and I'd sank my money into the company. I forget the exact date of this, as it was a long time ago. It is easy to find out. Go back and look at when GNET was a baby and it had its very first spike in VOLUME (on no news), the two events happened at the same time.

2) Shamelessly promoted GNET on AOL's busiest PF board. I told all that the then pocket change stock, was going to make anyone who invested in it rich. Several members of Techride know exactly what I am talking about (we left AOL to come to SI at the same time).

3) Asked the Motley Fools to start a message board for GNET, there was no GNET board then. MPed the Fools about who GNET was (most people had never heard of GNET back then).

4) Asked AOL to start a GNET message board, there was no GNET board then. ( again most people had never heard of GNET back then).

5) Recently got AOL to list GNET as an "internet company", until a few months ago, GNET was not listed by AOL as an internet company. There is little PR when a company is not listed with all other internet companies.

6) Since you read "Techride" you know, I still own many shares of GNET. I still shamelessly promote GNET as I like all the e-mail I get saying "thank you" from rich people, GNETaires.

7) Anyone who bad mouths Russell or GNET like Mark Haines did gets ripped a new one (eg Jed interviews Mark- Techride).

So as you can see I'm a GNET long, have been since I joined the "team" shortly after GNET came public. I just wanted that #7777, there will be that many longs on the list one day.
Perhaps a better solution to this long list thing is what a person with a very low number on the long list and who used to post here said to me in a e-mail, start a "GNET long thread."
It may not be a bad idea as people can join when they like, it frees up this thread for more news, opinions, etc. about the company (GNET), and I could wait and grub four BLUE sevens, #7777.
It is only fitting IMO that a person who has been on the team for so long and helped the team, gets the number they want or at least has a chance to grub it, that is just my opinion.
One of the original longs, GoGNETGo BLUE
