JGoren,

I don't have time this morning to look it up but the recent discussions regarding short interest and capital gains triggered a "retrieve" from my memory bank.

There were a bunch of convertibles issued about 1-2 years ago (?) with terms that I don't remember off the top of my head. The holders of these convertibles (all big boys because they were reg s and not available to the little people) must be in hog heaven. There are text book strategies for arbitraging these convertibles which may include shorting.

I am not an expert in either. Can you or anyone shed some light on this subject?

Ramsey
