It seems Galli's appointment is a good choice but I don't consider it a change from the status quo. When a company gets to a $1 billion run rate, depth of management becomes necessary. Amazon is expanding on many fronts and Bezos and Covey alone couldn't manage all of that. That "creative ideas" line is a journalist's speculation.
