BGR <what does the Fed want?> The Fed will not step in if most of the blood in the gutter is from the nets. A nice 10-20% pull-back in the S&P now would make the end of the year more stable -- y2k crazies and all. We are not likely to see a liquidity 'crisis' - but we are seeing a significant tightening, and this will be a crisis for the 'leading' stocks -- ie. the ones that are most over-valued. The major news media will need to do more to distance themselves from the net as the big toilet gets set to flush. Don't expect any sympathy in the media or from the 'established' investment community. They will pile on and want to show they have few if any of these wildly speculative stocks on their books.
