GST,

I am not thinking of equities at all. I am thinking of the debt market. Note, for example, the recent incident with the Ford bonds which were pulled because the conditions were not favorable (putting pressure on car loans). Already, the mortage market is tightening as well. By some measures, 15-20% of the liquidty in the debt market is already gone because of the recent move in the yields (two year notes are at 5.75% now I believe and there was at best a lukewarm demand to the recent offerring). If the Fed wants to slow down the economy to that extent, it surely will. But does it really want to slow the economy down to that extent?

So, it is not really an issue of internet equities.
