Socialism attempts to create rights which violates other individual's real rights. Socialized medicine is great... unless you happen to be a doctor.>> At this point doctors obviously feel like they are economic slaves to the might of the HMOs in America. Now this is all private enterprise, so obviously the concept of economic slavery is a wider one than whether the slaveholder is business or the government. That is why they have decided to unionize, in fact. No one is forced to become a doctor. American doctors are paid higher salaries than doctors in any other country on earth. Perhaps, since we have free will, people who do not want to heal and help people as their primary motive should choose another profession. Is that somehow making them slaves?
