Glenn, I just wanted to make sure you saw the electronics section (under gifts) at Amazon now.... they have TVs, VCRs and some high-end camcorders... looks like electronics will be the first of the heavy equipment that needs warehousing locally. Here's one item that has some interesting customer comments: amazon.com I don't know if anybody has been to the Good Guys lately but customer service at any large regional electronics discounter is a thing of the past. These customer comments that Amazon provides elevate the amazon shopping experience over buying the same thing at the Good Guys, imo. And I think Amazon is pricing competitively or lower than the big electronics discounters (? it looks that way anyway). Electronics and Toys seem like the same retail model to me... lots of toy/electronic retailers around but no service and no value add on the part of walking into the store - everything sits in the box, you just read about the features and decide to buy... nothing to try on etc. However to win in either of those areas you have got to sell with razor thin profit margins.
