In your opinion. Of course if you really believe all that you profess to, you would divest yourself of all modern technology and become a Quaker, or better yet, trek to Nepal and cross the border into Tibet to help the poor, non-polluting, anti-technologist Tibetans fend off the rising hordes of Chinese militia that is oppressing them.

The American middle class is much wealthier, and significantly less heavily taxed, than the middle classes of other western democracies. We are awash in an orgy of four-car families with super-polluting SUV's, mountains of trash that will ultimately suffocate us, and a society of waste and consumerism that is a primary factor in the crisis of America's "soul."
