Job Description:
This person will have responsibility for generating market awareness and sales for the venture. Initial focus will be on initiating sales for the PAC audio coder software. Additional responsibilities will be to meet with constituents for the In-Band On-Channel (IBOC) Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) system LDR is developing and update them on the progress of our development. These constituents include broadcasters, receiver manufacturers, and transmitter manufacturers. Later, the role will likely be expanded to include selling the IBOC system to the IBOC constituents listed above. Job Description:
The Lucent Digital Radio venture will deliver In-Band On-Channel (IBOC) systems, a digital enhancement to current analog radio broadcasting systems which will provide listeners with greatly enhanced sound quality for AM radio and near-CD quality for FM radio. It is currently headquartered in Warren, New Jersey. The position will initially report directly to the Lucent Digital Radio CEO and will involve working closely with the CFO of the New Ventures Group. The financial controller will play an important role on the management team of the venture. He or she will be responsible for: Financial planning/analysis, reporting and forecasting; Implementation of and support to the operational and financial management system; Management of transaction processing activities: billing, asset management, order management, inventory management, cash application, general ledger and book closing; Treasury/cash flow management;Development of procedures and controls around the financial management of the venture; and Financial support to M&A activity.

Hardware Design Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
BS/MS in EE. 5 years or more of experience in digital hardware design. Proficiency in board-level hardware design w/experience in PCB design/layout; designing interfaces to microprocessor/or DSP and circuit debugging in a lab environment using scope/logic analyzers is required. Should also have experience with FPGA-based designs using VHDL language and simulation tools such as MTI Modelism/Synopsys Design Compiler/FPGA Express. Some ASIC design skills will be a desirable complement for the later phase of the project. Knowledge of communication system design a plus. Experience w/Aptix or Quickturn development platforms are a strong plus.
