Bob: Re: " Firstly (yes, that is a word!), I appreciate your comedic attitude toward the much sought after "link" from the bobbrinker.com website."
Thanks for taking it in the spirit intended.
Re: "You would be VERY surprised how serious some people take this issue and your attitude is certainly refreshing."
Hey, I am a just a trekie stiff and I am quite serious about it. You want to make something of it <G>?
Re: " If you can tell me specifically what you are seeking, I will try to accomodate you."
You are too kind to even take the time to consider our request. We were merely trying to have have some fun and perhaps give you the opportunity -- if you wanted it -- to share your views on the situation in the spirit of fun or however you chose to use the opportunity if you chose to do so at all. I looked on your board(s) to figure out what happened and I gave up because it took too much work because you have so many posts <G>. If you see some value in linking us, great; and if you do not, that is fine too. If we have a problem with that, we can always buy you out. I assume a straight stock deal is okay? HA.
FWIW, I have not posted at your site because my interests -- to a large extent -- are with individual stocks and I do not believe my thoughts would fit into the Brinker mission. Yeah, I can just see Senior Pro Tour Brinker recommending the Total Market Index Fund for long term investing and some stiff showing up on his board(s) giving individual stock ideas.
Re: "Although, if all you are trying to do is push some second rate newsletter, duplicate our recommended reading list, or tout you penny stock holdings, I can assure you the link will never happen. <G>"
Well, there goes that idea. Can we promote our Brinker Bear Market Beepers? Let's do lunch.
Re: "Thirdly, please don't turn your discussion thread into a Brinker bashing as others have done."
Hey, hey, you are talking to the main man that some say wasted a good deal of his time defending Brinker, Sr. from the nuts on SI.
Re: " Although they do it under the guise of 'seeking the truth', the truth is there are many bitter, angry individuals that have lost a significant portion of their investment portfolios in search of the infamous greater fool and now are turning that anger/aggression towards Brinker for warning others to avoid the madness."
Hey, we are just angry that we can't buy you out with a straight stock deal. And you want cash? Our stock is like printing money or it least it was until a month ago. But let's change the topic before I get bitter.
Now you have given me greater insight on what is going on in your world and for that I say thanks. You know, I always try to put myself into Brinker, Sr.'s shoes. But for stiffs like myself, we can only speculate as to what may be going on. We have little idea of what Brinker Sr. goes through in doing his work. If we did, I doubt many would have the stomach to do what he does.
Re: "Fortunately all of us at bobbrinker.com live by the philosophy of 'suffer fools gladly' and we move on."
Hey, we think the same way. I see synergies here. Can you say friendly takeover? Please, before our stock goes up in flames! |
