Straight,
As of about an hour ago, there appears to be about 24,650 people who have signed up for myTalk. Not bad for 12 days work (2,000 per day more or less).
My assumption is based on approximately 9,000 sign-ups for the 9840 number, 9,000 for the 9841 number, and 6650 for the 9842 number. I am also basing my figure on the fact that the numbers are assigned sequentially and the numbers start at 1000 (which is the first four digit number in a four digit sequence). I would doubt that they would start a four digit number starting with 0001, but I could be wrong.
I have already received two important emails through myTalk while I was on the road, and I can say that it has definitely helped me in less than the two weeks since I signed up for the service.
Some of the drawbacks to the service is that it can't read attachments through the phone or get the .wav files (sent to you) from over the phone. It appears as though GMGC doesn't want this service to be basically just a personal answering service. Which I definitely understand. Maybe myTalk will come with this feature in the near future at a slight cost per month to the user. Despite these drawbacks, I definitely like this service if for no other reason that what I stated in paragraph 2.
Take care,
