SH, you came to the KOB thread and invited me to share in the excitement here on TRIL. Thanks.
I did notice that you just joined SI on June 22, 1999.

I have been watching TRIL (and other area start-ups) with interest for some time.

I do, however, feel that it is a little premature to be getting too excited, as an "event investor", in TRIL. Here's why...

The TRIL NR dated June 22 announced Halliburton's interest in the Ekho play. No contracts have been signed. A spud date is not known.
Has a lease been prepared yet?
Has a rig been contracted?
Has a well license been applied for?
There is a lot of work to be done before the first well is spudded.

I certainly don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, and I fully intend to climb aboard TRIL when the time is right.
Right now, I believe that the East Lost Hills JV partners have about 1 month before their share prices go crazy. That will give anyone invested with them a whole lot more cash to sink into TRIL when the time is right. Check out the KOB thread.

This is just my honest opinion. I wish everyone here on TRIL the very best of luck and I hope to be contributing regularly to this thread in the near future, after Ekho #1 spuds.
