Which ones? I've always felt the social prescriptions of the religious right to invoke the worst sort of big-brotherism.

Manila sucks; I'm in Subic Bay, former home of the US Navy. Their departure has improved the place immensely. It did have a certain appeal before, especially to young males with a thirst for booze and any conceivable form of sexual gratification. Social conservatives would have been horrified.

All very ordinary now, much preferable.
