To Mr Fun: Much appreciate your reply which very much clarifies your views as far as I am concerned. To echo Uncle Frank, hope you will drop back here when you can. Speaking for myself, I know I can gain from your insights and this is a highly dynamic situation - almost like a horserace.

Having followed Frank Collucio's posts on the Last Mile and other SI threads, I second your recommendation as one who is still trying to learn but way way behind people with deep knowledge like yourself. I have found his posts to be comprehensive and detailed yet enlightening. Delighted he is posting here.

Your views on the Q which is the new gorilla in the eyes of many here are particularly appreciated.

Would welcome any comments on JDS/Uniphase which emerges as a new combined company today . For example, do you see LU likely to continue as a customer into the future, or develop its own competing products, or perhaps even both? Not a gorilla but perhaps a king or prince in the terminology here. And if you could give us your broad view of fiberoptics that would help.

Again thanks.
