The key benefit I see is you can get a preview of what is coming in cnbc tv, and look up details of the stocks mentioned. The broadcast medium does not allow you to skip around, while the web does, and broadcastTV is far better quality. CNBC has now put the two media together. Also you can watch the TV broadcast on your PC.
On the drawbacks side, the quality of some of their content is atrocious! The columnists from "Wall Street City" do not appear to know what they are discussing.
If you have a tv tuned to CNBC TV on in your home or office, then this is a nice complement to it. Otherwise, it seems to me not as good as say Yahoo! Finance.
