What does UTEK have to do with their internet portfolio anyway?

The on-air ridicule was directed at holding a stock while it lost 50% of it's value. My use of UTEK was merely to show that such is the fate of non-Interent stocks as well, including but not limited to a stock that Brinker has rated as either a Buy or Hold for it's entire decline. The fact that some Internet stocks are volatile and decline 50% in a couple of months says nothing about opportunities in the sector, just as UTEK's decline says nothing about it's sector and certainly says very little about Brinker's stock picking prowess.

Speaking of which, he recommended Vodaphone in 1989. I wonder what it's price/earnings, price/sales and price/book were at that time? Regardless, it was a stellar recommendation, as was Microsoft, almost visionary.
