There is something deeply dissatisfying about thinking in terms of a Cosmic Hard Drive. The way it's presented in the snippet - a Write head but no Read head sounds sufficient to satisfy the concept. What's the use of a store of Vivid Memory if I can't play it daily like a toddler with a cassette of The Lion King.
