Bob, Lets start a new thread.

Here is a rundown of what we should cover/talk about:

Pick 2 stocks that is well-known and pretty active in trading.
One in tech. sector. One in Banking or something.

1) Do FA analysis. See if FA hold up during our test.
2) Do TA analysis. See if it tells us good entry/exit points.
3) Do news anaylsis. See effects of news on stock. This includes analyst recommendation and product info.
4) Do broad market analysis. E.g. Nasdaq & NYSE influences. Interest rates, etc.

I think it would be timely to start something pretty soon BEFORE the federal board meeting to see the effects of hike in interest first hand. You don't see these outside influences play such a large role that often. It would be interesting.

So... When do we start?

One thing must be clear: NO one way is right or wrong. I really don't want a FA vs TA argument. We will use BOTH. I've seen threads go down b/c of that or lots of trash talking on predicting, etc. Each person has own opinions and should be respected. Let's make it one of the best threads on SI.

Chris
