Allen has been in metricom for a long time... something proprietary about that technology... it never went anywhere out here. Now he has increased his investment and there is some momentum in the stock but isn't qcom a better play for wireless? I don't quite get the technical aspects of comm technology - but mcom was wireless data, who needs that now that internet is coming over the phone lines? Irrespective of that mcom might go up just as a result of Allen publicity but long term what is it really?
