Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Strange. This topic has come up repeatedly and I've got no recollection of hearing about Mot especially as a potential ASIC vendor although I can understand why they might not want to pump ASICs to their handset competitors. LU has no such disincentive. And VLSI is now part of Philips.

Is it just a matter of time before the ASIC competition gets much more serious?
